Shock Entertainment is committed to protecting your personal information. We are bound by Australian privacy laws, which set out how personal information must be handled by Shock Entertainment whenever it is collected from you.
Shock Entertainment only collects information necessary for running its business, and we will at all times make it clear as to why your information is being collected and how it will be used. We also have to take all reasonable steps to ensure that the information you provide is correct and stored safely.
Collecting your personal information
Shock Entertainment does not collect personal information that identifies you without your knowledge. In any case, any information would be collected directly from you when you supply it to us voluntarily, usually in order to participate in chat rooms, bulletin boards, contests, to be added to a list to receive email updates on particular artists or types of music or dvds, to send e-cards or to conduct other activities on this website. This is generally basic detail such as your name, age, email address, home address and telephone number.
Please note that you can choose not to provide us with this information. However, if you choose not to, you may not be able to participate in some of the opportunities or activities on this website. Oh, and if you are under 13 years old, please only give us information about yourself with the consent of a parent or guardian.
Use of Personal Information
Shock Entertainment is a division of Regency Media Pty Ltd and information may be shared between divisions within Regency Media Pty Ltd to assist in our marketing or advertising analysis, or to discern and provide you with information we think may be of interest. However, we will not give your details to any person or company outside of Regency Media Pty Ltd unless you specifically elect for us to do so.
In any event, if you choose to allow us to share your information with other companies or people outside of the Regency Media Group, we require these parties to protect your information in the same way we do.
We will always give you the opportunity on each email you receive from us, to unsubscribe from a distribution list, and in some cases, to change your preferences or details. When you unsubscribe, we’ll remove your email address permanently from that mailing list promptly after receiving your “unsubscribe” email.
Information posted online
Any information you post on an online message board or provided in any chat room area run by Shock Entertainment will always be considered public information. We always recommend that you use your discretion and judgement before posting any of your personal details online.

You have a right to access most of the information held about you. If for any reason we cannot disclose all information on hand we will provide appropriate reasons why.
Cookies
Shock Entertainment uses cookies to enhance a customer’s experience when using our website. Cookies are essentially “packets of information” that are collected and sent to our hard drive as you navigate through the Shock Entertainment website. Cookies do little more than track this navigation over the Internet, and will only collect personal information if and when you provide it.

Your personal information in electronic form is stored on secure computer servers and Shock Entertainment utilises firewalls and virus protection programs to prevent your information from being “mined” or corrupted by outside parties. However, neither Shock Entertainment can in any way guarantee the security of the personal information you provide to us when it is being transmitted over the Internet.
Shock Entertainment may also provide links to outside websites for your interest or convenience. These websites are not under our control and we do take any responsibility for their conduct.
